Finding the Gospel Principles and truths changed the life of Harvey Dovall and his family.
In the rush of our busy lives – it can be easy to take the truths of the restored gospel to life. However, the answers that we get from the gospel are the very truths that people around the world are searching for.
President Hinckley said “We recognize the good that every other church in the world does. We have no quarrel with other churches. We do not argue, we do not debate, or anything of the kind. We simply say to people not of our faith, ‘You bring with you all the truth that you have, and let us see if we can add to it.’ That is the mission and message of this church.” (Hinckley, 2001 p. 91) Our message is to share with them what they don’t have. We never know which truths might touch different people and change their lives.
Listed below are 25 Truths that can change people’s lives. I left five blanks – because other truths and principles can be the key to changing other hearts.

We lived in a Pre-Earth life with our Heavenly Father
2Our families can be eternal if we live the live worthy of that blessing
3Everyone will have a chance to hear the gospel in this life or the next
4Babies need no baptism.
5Word of Wisdom; the world teaches moderation; the Lord has commanded us to
abstain from these substances.
6We know that personal revelation is available to each of us.
7Our callings and the callings of our leaders come through revelation.
8There is a modern prophet who can teach us how to best live through the challenges
and trials of this life.
9 We are saved by grace after all we can do. (No extreme on each)
10Our potential is that we can become like our Father in Heaven.
11There are so many churches because there was an apostasy
12Divorce is discouraged. However, modern prophets have told us we can remarry in
the case of a divorce. Some Christian churches use New Testament verses to
totally forbid all remarriage after divorce.
13Jesus Christ really is our Savior (not just a great teacher)
14The Book of Mormon testifies and confirms what Jesus taught in the New
Testament.
15Young people should begin group dating at 16 and put off steady dating later.
16Fasting one day a month helps provide church welfare for the needy; 30 Hour famine
17Tithing is a blessing in the lives of members. Tithing helps the church provide
services to us
18The church is debt free – something our prophet has encouraged us to be.
19Family Home Evening once a week will strengthen the family
20Daily Reading scriptures and prayers as a family strengthens family
21Perpetual Education fund provides opportunities to those who had none
22Proclamation on the family describes responsibilities, purpose of and roles in a
family.
23Priesthood blessings and prayer can provide miracles
24Priesthood authority is claimed. We believe we have direct authority of God. Don’t
claim to be just another revision of lost truth.
25No limit to the number of people who can go to heaven.
